NATIONAL NEWS
1. Consultation on Federal Regulatory Issues
	The Radio Amateurs of Canada meets on a regular basis with Industry
	Canada on issues of interest to amateur radio operators. We are
	seeking immediate input from amateur radio operators on what issues
	should be raised with Industry Canada for resolution.
	Send email to rachq (at) rac.ca, or send hardcopy to our office: RAC,
	720 Belfast Road, Unit 217, Ottawa, ON, K1G 0Z5. Items raised by
	amateurs may be published in the RAC Report with personal
	identification removed.

2. RAC Scholarships Available
	In 2014 Radio Amateurs of Canada will again be offering scholarships
	to young Amateurs who are taking post-secondary schooling in
	Electrical, Electronic and Software Engineering. Students in other
	fields of study will be considered on a case-by-case basis. The
	student must be an Amateur and the deadline for applications is
	July 31, 2014.

ONTARIO SECTIONS NEWS
3. OPN Frequency Change
	Effective April 6, the Ontario Phone Net will move to 7.065 MHz. The
	traffic net meets at 7 pm Eastern Time, 7 days a week. All stations
	are welcome.
	OPN is also seeking additional net control operators. If you would
	like to help out, please contact Shawn VE3PSV on the Ontario Phone
	Net, or via NTS message.

4. GLETN Time Change
	Effective April 1, the Great Lakes Emergency and Traffic Net is
	starting at 8:30 pm Eastern Time, with the pre-net at 8 pm. GLETN
	meets every night on 3.932 MHz. All are welcome.

5. Durham Region Hamfest
	The South Pickering ARC and North Shore ARC will hold the 38th Durham
	Region Hamfest on Saturday, April 19, at the Pickering Recreation
	Complex, 1867 Valley Farm Road, in Pickering. General admission at 9
	am; talk-in on VE3SPA repeater, 147.375 (+). For more information

6. CANWARN Training April 22-26
CANWARN training will be offered on the following dates:
	Windsor, April 22, 7 PM, in Caboto Hall at the Caboto Club, 2175
	Parent Avenue.
Sarnia, April 23, 7 PM, at the Sarnia Yacht Club, 1220 Fort Street.
	London, April 24, 7 PM, at Fanshawe College, Room T1003, Building T.
	Free parking at any metered spot after 6 PM.
	Hamilton, April 26, 9 AM, in the Nash Auditorium, Wilcox Building,
	Chedoke Hospital, 555 Sanatorium Road. Free parking available across
	the street from Wilcox Building.
	Ottawa, April 26, 9 AM, at the Nepean Sailing Club, 3259 Carling
	Ave., in Nepean.
