Hospital Walk / Run tomorrow October 16 2011

Hi Folks

 
I will be on site about 08:00 tomorrow morning  ..( I will be going into work with Betty)
The first race .. the trail run starts at 09:30..so if everyone can be on site by 08:00 it would be great Chris VA3CMX will be will be on the check point on the trail run and I will arrange for him to be dropped off/picked up by ATV.
Everyone one else, we will try to place you where you can have your vehicle. Please dress for the weather... Rain gear may be needed and it may be windy.....
I have attached the map for the walk run.. the last map labeled “Event Day Map” will give you detail of the layout on the event day.
Vicky has asked that we park in lot # 9, which is located on the hwy 17 side of the hospital, in front of the Mental Health Centre ( just to the West)
Traffic is one way on the event day, so you will have to turn right after entering from Hwy 17 and go around the hospital to lot 9. I will be on air on VE3ERX 147.030 + will also monitor simplex 147.030 in case we can't communicate of the repeater.

"Hi Bill and Chris, 
I think placement is your expertise and I would leave that up to you. 
Of course making sure everyone gets out of the trail run is a big concern. 
Our marshal priority locations are on site intersection access road to College Dr. and Ring Road, crossing College Dr to sidewalk, College Dr & Montestary Rd., on Education property where the road turns into Lot 7/8. We have marshals in between however we have identified these as hot spots. 
Let me know if you have any questions. 

Right now we are under 30 registrations in the 6 km trail run. There are just under 500 to date total. 

Volunteers can park in lot 9, and parking is free. I have attached a parking map. 
For the volunteers who are manning the trail run. We have a 4 wheeler who can take them to there location if they prefer. It would be picking up from behind the pond on the trail side of the bridge. 
On Sunday I will be on sight, near or under the registration tent in front of the cafeteria.
