Canada Day Results Posted Results for the 2014 Canada Day contest are posted on the Radio Amateurs of Canada website at www.rac.ca/en/rac/programmes/contests. Certificates will be sent out via email, so look for them starting in late January. -- ARRL Contest Update 2. New ARRL HF Contesting Guidelines ARRL's Contest Advisory Committee has revised the HF Contesting Guidelines. The revisions address recent technological changes, including remote station operation, and present a current understanding of contesting standards and practices. The goals of the document are to provide guidance and advice, especially for new contesters, and to encourage contest operation that advances the spirit and integrity of radiosport. Nominations Open for ARRL Technical Awards The ARRL also seeks nominations for awards to individual radio amateurs or groups, that recognize educational and technological pursuits in Amateur Radio. The Microwave Development Award is for contributing to the development of the Amateur Radio microwave bands. The Technical Service Award is for providing Amateur Radio technical assistance or training to others. The ARRL Technical Innovation Award is granted for developing and applying new technical ideas or techniques in Amateur Radio. The nomination deadline is March 31. The awards appear to be open to non-ARRL members, but nominations must come from an ARRL member. For more information see www.arrl.org/technical-awards -- ARRL Web 4.
