Run Off the Grid 2015

Hello Everyone,
 
Run-Off-the-Grid is next Saturday, Sept 19, 2015.
 
We would love to see more volunteers since we are going to be operating with minimum radio crew for this event.
 
Signed up so far are:
 
VE3MAF, VA3PC, VE3TGI, John Higgins, VA3SPT, VA3CMX

Tshirt order is being submitted on Sunday evening so if you want to be guaranteed a t-shirt please sign up and let me know your t-shirt size before then.
 
Currently the plan is as follows:
 
0630 or earlier – Meet and eat at Tim Horton’s on Seymour
0700’ish - Depart for Mattawa
0800’ish - Arrival at Nature’s Harmony to setup Start/Finish
0815-0830 - Disperse to checkpoints to setup
0900 - First runners start
 
Frequencies:  (Repeater is not available at all checkpoints, please be prepared to operate Simplex for the event)
 
146.520 Primary onsite frequency
147.150 (+) VE3NBR Repeater for Mattawa area portion of travel to and from
147.030 (+) VE3ERX Repeater for North Bay area portion of travel to and from
 
This is a great opportunity to test your equipment in a ‘make or break’ scenario with no other form of backup communication available.
 
In keeping with the hosts theme of environmental responsibility there will be no disposable kitchen fare to eat off of so please be sure to bring a mess kit (plate, bowl, cup, and utensils).  Dinner is always fantastic and also extemely healthy.
