"THIS IS A SIMULATION TEST EXERCISE: CALL IS UP 1.5 HOURS FROM NOW
TO ALL AVAILABLE HAMS WHO NOW HAVE HF, VHF, OR UHF EQUIPMENT THAT WILL SUPPORT THIS SITUATION, AND TIME YOU CAN GIVE TO THE COMMUNITY IN THE NEXT FEW HOURS BECAUSE OF THIS EMERGENCY. A FULL DESCRIPTION WILL BE GIVEN WHEN YOU REPORT TO THE NBARC COMMAND CENTRE BEING SET UP IN THE SW CORNER OF THE SEARS PARKING LOT NORTHGATE MALL.
PLEASE REPORT BETWEEN 09:45 AND 10:00 THIS MORNING. IT IS SHORT NOTICE BUT THIS EMERGENCY INCLUDES A MAJOR POWER OUTAGE HERE DURING THIS VISCIOUS WINTER STORM THAT WE ARE FACING TODAY. LINES ARE DOWN AND MANY HOMES ARE APPROACHING FREEZING TEMPERATURES ALREADY. WARMING CENTRES ARE BEING SET UP. THE RED CROSS AND SALVATION ARMY REQUIRE OUR SUPPORT AT THIS TIME.
PLEASE REPORT TO ME UPON YOUR ARRIVAL AT THE NBARC COMMAND CENTRE.
WE WILL BE USING SIMPLEX 146.52 AS THE COMMON LOCAL INTERCHANGE FREQUENCY.
