Gyslaine, VE3GZL has asked me to list Guy's equipment for sale.
Some is fairly new as he purchased the high powered stuff (amplifier and accessories) in the past few months.
I'm going to list it locally first, that way anything purchased locally will not involve shipping.
If you need any information on any item, please drop me an e-mail.
In a week or so I will list what is remaining on the Ontario Swap Shop.
Thanks Paul, VA3PC
Due to the pandemic the NBARC June 10, 2020 meeting has been cancelled. Hopefully by September things will be better and we will be able to meet on September 9, 2020.
There has been no interest on the website to operate Field Day as a club event.
Have a safe and healthy summer and as the song goes 'See you in September' (hopefully).
It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Guy Leblond, on May 10, 2020, at the age of 60.
He will be missed and cherished by his wife Gyslaine Leblond (Milot) of 40 years of marriage, his stepbrother Marcel Leblond, and his nephew Marc Leblond. Guy will be held dear in the hearts of his motorcycle club ‘Sons of St. Michael’, extended family and his many friends located throughout Canada and the USA. He was predeceased by his parents; Albert and Ruth Leblond.
Due to the covid-19 pandemic the following events have been cancelled:
The hike for hospice this coming Sunday May 3, 2020 has been cancelled.
NBARC May meeting to be held May 13, 2020 is cancelled. Next meeting June 10, 2020 (hopefully).
The Mattawa Canoe Race to be held July 25, 2020 has been cancelled. Next years date is July 24, 2021
Fellow NBARC members, effective tomorrow (Tuesday Mar 17th) Tim Hortons' is closing their dining areas, and will only be serving take out customers only, so Clam Soup Fridays are suspended until normal counter service resumes.
At this time it would also seem prudent to cancel our April 8th regular monthly meeting as well.
If anything comes up, or the situation changes, a bulletin will be distributed.
There has been no activation of ARES for any COVID-19 issue at any level of government (Municipal, Provincial or Federal) at this time.
Play radio and stay safe.
The NBARC March 2020 meeting is upon us. It is this coming Wednesday March 11, 2020 at the OPP RHQ Community Boardroom - 911A Gormanville Rd. North Bay. The doors will open about 1915 ET (dependent upon when we finish dinner).
Hopefully Kelly will have an update on the HAB launch.
There will be the usual reports.
Dinner this month is at the FifTY's Diner on Trout Lake Road. I have made a reservation for 8 at 1800ET under my name.
