1204 (April 11th) NBARC Meeting Report

Called to order at 1935ET

In attendance were: VA3BDR, VA3PC, VA3DLJ, VE3YO, VE3KAN, VE3GMG, VE3LOR, VE3MAA, VE3MAF, VA3SPT, VE3XKB, VA3CMX, VE3KAN, VE3TGI, VA3WAC

Correspondence: under new/old business.

Treasurer: nothing new

New hams/members: nil

Repeaters: All running well. Real Time Clock module is still being worked on. ECHOLINK/IRLP working well

2mt net. Nothing new. 80mt net still running well.

ARES: We are part of Capital region. Still looking at altering the boundrys to ones that make more sense. There is a meeting in Ottawa April 28th.

Hamfests: Smith Falls May 12th.

RAC: Paul gave report. See the website http://www.ve3nbc.ca for more. Nothing new on an exemption from teh cell phone law yet. Still being worked on.

Contest Club: Nothing new

Events: SITP Nothing really new.
CANWARN May 31st Public Library. This is a very good event and you can learn a lot about severe weather. Let Geoff Coulson know if you are coming so he can arrange enough seating.
MS walk May 27th.
June 10th Patrick4Life.

Old Business: Field Day. Doug and Bill have a meeting Wednesday April 18th. with the Conservation Authority to firm up location details. Sign up on the website http://www.ve3nbc.ca. The more the merrier. Come out for the whole thing or a couple of hours. This is a lot of fun and you might even learn something.

New Business: Keeling having garage sale Saturday April 14th.
