Mattawa River Canoe Race

 
A few question have been asked:
 
Do you need someone at the start of the race at 7:00am to collect the number of boats and the numbers or will the numbers be transmitted to the finish?

We won't need to be at the start, all information that we need will be brought to each check point by the Conservation staff. 
 
Where and when are we meeting this year to start the day???

We will meet at the Tim Horton's at Seymour (Franklin) and the bypass at 08:00 to 08:30. On the road shortly after 08:30
 
 
start/finish sounds like fun
 
- It can be, it will be along day  you may not see any on the conservation staff until later in the day.

They will be making their way from the start to Mattawa but will have several other duties along the way.
I hope to have all the phone numbers of the the staff that we may need by tomorrow.
If anyone has any other question please let me know.
 
Just a reminder to come prepared for the weather, we have had everything from sun to extreme rain on  race day.
Sun screen, rain gear, hat, chair, water, snacks and a lunch. Pen, pencil some paper may be needed.
 
I am still looking for a uhf amateur radio that I can use at cp 2... that can connect to a bnc or pl connector to my small uhf beam.
It can be a portable or Mobile
