Just a last minute reminder of Run Off the Grid tomorrow at Nature's Harmony in Mattawa. We have confirmed the event will run as scheduled regardless of the forecast.
Pleae remember to bring your mess kit and rain gear. It always promises to be a great event regardless of the weather forecast.
They have approximately 140 competitors registered this year, so we should have a fun-filled day.
See you between 0630 and 0700 at Timmy's on Seymour.
We are still very much in need of additional radio operators and/or assistants for at least one of the checkpoints. Please consider coming out for this fun event. You can sign up on the website, email me at va3cmx@gmail.com or reach me by phone 705 497 425
Field Day is almost here! For the people participating, we will meet Saturday morning (tomorrow) at 11:00 at the top of the ski hill, 15 Janey Avenue, to begin setting up. The actual field day exercise begins at 2 p.m. Saturday and runs until 2 p.m. Sunday. We will have two stations in place, and are looking for people to take two-hour shifts. We will be using 147.450(simplex) no tone as the coordination frequency on site. The following are suggestions on what to bring:
• Appropriate clothing for rain or sun
• Lawn chair
• Bug dope
Looking for 8 volunteers for the North Bay Triathlon. Take a break from Field Day, or when the Triathlon is done, drop by and see the setup.
Thanks in advance (sign up on the website as per usual).

Short notice I know, but thanks in advance.

Field Day is approaching and we hope you’ll participate! Our goal is to have a successful (and fun) 24-hour exercise that tests our ability to operate under ‘adverse’ conditions. We will meet Saturday morning, June 28 at 9:30 at the top of the ski hill, 15 Janey Avenue, for a briefing before we begin setting up. The actual field day exercise begins at 2 p.m. Saturday and runs until 2 p.m. Sunday. We plan to have two stations in place, and will try to make as many North American contacts as we can. If you are interested, please mark June 28 and 29 on your calendars.
