NBARC March 8, 2017 Meeting Notice

Body: 

The NBARC March 8th, 2017 meeting is upon us. It is this coming Wednesday March 8th, 2017 at the OPP RHQ Community Boardroom - 911A Gormanville Rd. North Bay. The doors will open about 1915 ET (dependent upon when we finish dinner).

There will be the usual reports.

Kelly will be updating us on her balloon project and demonstrating her SDR. Here is a link to the website.

Introductions

Treasurer; nil

Correspondance; WNSP Widdifield Near Space Project. CANWARN Monday June 5th 2017.

Events; Field Day looking for interest.

New Hams; Nothing recently.

NET; 80M 6-8 check-ins. Running normally

Repeaters; Working. IRLP had been out for about 3 days. Paul rebooted it and working well.

Hamfests; Butch went to St. Catherines. Good turnout.

Old Business; Got our RAC insurance

In attendance: VE3LOR, VA3JGH, VE3YUI, VE3YO, VE3GMG, VE3XKB, VA3BDR, VE3MAF, VE3TGI, VE3DLL, Sam & Shoshanah & Shem Tignanelli, Bob Winfield.

Called to order & 1944ET.

Introduction of guests.

Treasurer report; Nil.

Correspondence; Chris very busy but hopes to be at the next meeting. North Bay Mattawa Conservation Authority sent a cheque.

Events; Chistmas Party report. About 20 attended. Food was good. All had a good time. Welcome back next year.

NBARC 2016 Christmas Party Report

Body: 

The NBARC Christmas Party was held last Thursday December 15th at the Shrine Club There were approximately 20 of us in attendance. The dinner was a served roast beef dinner that was very good. The deserts were excellent and I was assured calorie free!

The Shrine Club is very handicapped friendly and a great venue. I would recommend it for next year.

We collected $200.00 for the Santa Fund.

Wishing everyone a very Merry and safe Christmas and looking forward to seeing you in the new year.

Our next meeting is January 11th 2017. Mark it on your calendar.
